Hanger for the supporting framework of a false ceiling is a strip of sprung steel (2) which has a hole, in its lower end, into which a false ceiling support rod is inserted. In its upper part are holes and U-shaped notches which are some distance one from the other, so that by bending the material inbetween, flexible arms (13, 14) of weding spring are formed. Into these holes can be inserted a rod attached to the structural ceiling. When the two arms (13, 14) are pushed together, the rod can be adjusted, but when they are released, the rod is held firmly in place.
