The roller blind is of the type which is drawn down by the weight of the bottom slat, and drawn up again by a side roller and cord. A roller carries the length of material, mounted in bearers on both sides, together with a cord for raising or lowering. One of the two bearers (7) protrudes downwards across the roller (1) and is fitted with a guiding loop (14) for the blind cord (4). A disc (5) may be fitted, coaxial with the roller, as a side limiting device, at the end, facing the cord guide, and the centre of the loop is at least 1 cm away from this. The disc can project only about 4mm beyond the diameter of the roller.
