Mirror drive for reflex camera - is designed to move mirror out of optical path using combined rotary and translatory movement

The mirror moves with combined rotation and translation when moving from its observation to exposure position and vice-versa. The mirror carries an auxiliary mirror on its rear surface, by which light passing through a partly silvered reflex mirror part is directed to a photoreceiver. The auxiliary mirror is closed in the reflex mirror exposure position in order to cover the partly silvered mirror part, preventing light from the eye-piece passing through it. The auxiliary mirror (6) is hinged on the reflex mirror on a fixed pin and is driven by a lever (7), in turn hinged on a lever (4 or 5) driving the reflex mirror (1).
