Appts. comprises (a) a container for the reception of an individual fruit, (b) a device for moving the container in predetermined direction, (c) a number of rollers supported in the container, mounted on parallel axes and supporting the fruit at four mutually spaced points, the parallel axes taking up a specific position relative to the predetermined direction of motion. There is also (d) a device, responding to the motion the container in the pre-determined direction and driving the rolls in order to rotate the fruit in such a way that their principal axis takes up the predetermined position.
