Glass walled impact adhesive cartridge - has inner hardener phial and thickening additive plug for wall plugging

The glue cartridge consists of a closed glass phial (2) containing separate adhesive (3) and hardener (4) components. The hardener is held in a narrow glass tube (15), and the glue has added fillers such as quartz sand (5). The entire cartridge is inserted in a hole in a wall, and the glass case shatters, so that adhesive and hardener mix, together with glass fragments. A thickening additive is mixed in with the adhesive to prevent leakage from cracks before setting is complete. A plug of this material (8) is inserted in the cartridge during manufacture, next to the tube mouth.
