Condensing air humidity collector for arid areas - has vessel with hygroscopic filling heated for releasing condensed water

The water collector uses the condenser principle. Hygroscopic materials are enriched with moisture condensed from humid air. Subsequently a material of this kind is heated for releasing collected water. This collector is used in arid areas for collecting the considerable quantities of water dissolved by hot air. The vessel used for collecting water contains moisture collecting material which must be able to withstand heating. This material may be heated up to 400 deg.C. The collecting vessel replaces hermetically sealed troughs used for evaporating moisture in the ground, air and in the filling materials. The hygroscopic material in the vessel is selected according to the quantity of water required.
