Container for low-boiling cryogenic liquids - with extended-surface inserts in the neck improving heat transfer to thermal shields

Within the neck of a double-walled vessel are fitted a number of inserts made of material of high thermal conductivity, and having internal extended surface in the form of ribs or fins. Used in vessels used as container for low-boiling cryogenic liquids such as helium. There is maximum cooling of the thermal shield because of the good heat transfer minimixing the heat uptake into the system and therefore the liquid losses.
