This board for chess or draughts has an outer playing ring within a square outer board and central playing ring. The circular playing ring is divided into eight concentric ring strips. Each ring strip is divided into sixteen segments. The ring strips are numbered '1' to '8' while the segments are lettered anti-clockwise 'a' to 'h' and 'a' -h. Each field is coloured alternately dark and light using white and red for light, and blue and black for dark colours. The squares of each colour form spirals in a clockwise direction to the centre. The anti-clockwise spirals consits of alternate squares of the two dark colours and are emphasized by a light line along the spirals. The game can be played by four players with sets of chess pieces of different colours. The white and red pieces are placed on the outer field, while the blue and black pieces start from the inner zone. This board produces a game using the normal chess rules which has many more variations than the normal game.
