The pulse generator detects the presence of a pulse at discrete time points quickly and passes it on to the output as long as clocking pulses are present. The regenerator is cheap, consumes little power and can handle low to very high clock frequencies. The input pulses (D) are applied to the base of a first transistor switch (T1) whose output is coupled to the input of a third switch (T3). A second switch (T2) is connected by its output to the second input of the third switch. The first and second switches each have two equal-ranking inputs and the third switch has three equal-ranking inputs of the second and third switches.
