Light wing for surface skimmer - with demountable frame and flexible wing cover to dampen wave effects

The wings of the surface skimmer craft are supported by demountable strut (5, 6) frames on each side of the fuselage, with a flexible covering (12) forming the wings. The struts ensure a wide entry slot for the air, and a reduced exit profile at the rear of the wings, for an efficient air cushion. The flexible wings are always under tension, for maximum strength. Small pressure effects, due to waves and ground irregularities, are evened out by local stretching of the wing fabric. The demountable wing structure is light and simple. It allows the craft to be road haled with a minimum of alteration.
