The tennis court is made up from prefabricated elements, easily and quickly laid or dismantled, and usable anywhere on a reasonably flat piece of ground. Elongated rectangular court slabs (1) of weatherproof wood, with a plastic coating (2) on one side, are laid on carrier beams cast from reinforced concrete, which are set in parallel rows on flattened strips of ground. The longitudinal edges of the slabs rst on the beams and fit against adjacent beam edges at the beam centres. Their end faces also meet, running across the line of the beams. Light concrete may be used for the beams. Plastic filling may be used at the joints.
