Forced circulation fuel fixed boiler for heating a fuel oil, is contructed such that the open top fire box forms the base section of the boiler (25) and seals a heat resistant cladding (10) to the grate (11) above the grate (11) itself. The conically designed grate (11) is fed with primary combustion air fed by a blower type fan (16). The downward feed thrust type grate has an horizontal feed auger, and a central aperture (28). Fuel (31) is fed down through the apertue (28) for combustion and apertures in the auger feed riser tube allow input of combustion air from a primary air chamber (12).
