Monitor for fuel consumption - expresses fuel flow rate and air intake as voltages which bear fixed relation during efficient consumption

The fuel consumption monitor checks the amount of air consumed for combustion of a given amount of fuel. Two voltages are derived, are from a meter measuring the fuel flow rate. The other is derived from the air intake rate. A capillary pulse (1.2) in front of the carburettor is used to produce from the air stream a mechanical movement (1, 4). This movement adjusts a potentiometer (1, 5) acting as a voltage divider. The voltages are compared in a comparator circuit. If they are unequal or voltage appears at the output and indicates via lamp the faulty operation.
