Spherical vessel foundation absorbing seismic shocks - has horizontally split foundation with flexible bolster

The foundation for spherical storage vessel for gases or liquids has a flexible bolster between the foundation and the vessel bottom part. This bolster is firmly connected to foundation and the spherical vessels and the bolster is made from an elastomer material. The foundation is able to absorb ground shock waves. The foundation is split in a horizontal plane. Flexible supports (7) are placed between the foundation parts. The flexible support rests on the lower part which rests on the ground and exerts plasticising effect on the ground by the contact pressure. A support ring (6) supports the upper part (2) on the lower part (4) of the foundation. The foundation upper part cn be readily adjusted by jacks or wedges in the pockets (8).
