Cantilevered scaffolding frame is attachable to a window opening, for outside repair work, or for subsequent fitting of roller shutters or venetian blinds, normally involving cramped and difficult working conditions, and danger of falling. The frame is assembled from paired bent carrier rails (11, 12), for hanging from the window frame and/or sill, connected lattice-type beams (13, 14) with cross struts (21, 22, 23) on which panels (17) or boards can be laid, and one or more supports (15, 16), on the wall of the building. All these units may be hollow and rectangular in section.
