Gear change mechanism for motor cycles - has pivoting lever operating two independent spring loaded change mechanisms

The gear change has a single pivoting change lever with support and connecting link to the change mechanism. There is a housing, an indicator and a method of fixing to the motor cycle frame. The change system can by simple adjustment be used for a variety of gear layouts. The change lever (1) pivots on a baseplate mounting and activates two independent change mechanisms. The lever operates a control plate (9) which moves on the baseplate (5) and has two control elements with profiled surfaces (14,15) and adjusting elements (16). Transmission shafts (23,24) are attached to the profiled surfaces. One of the shafts is spring loaded. An alternative layout has a direct operation for one of the change mechanisms.
