Ski pair for slalom competition - has each ski asymmetrical and combined pair providing arrow shape

Each ski of the pair (1) has a turned up front end. The edge of the turned up end slopes downwards from its highest point at the inside edge. The rear end of each ski is flat but cut obliquely so that the extreme tip lies on the inner edge of the ski. Thus each ski is asymmetric about its own centre line but the pair of skis have a symmetrical arrow shape. This design improves ski performance, esp. in deep snow and when passing through the 'gates' of competition course. Other designs of ski have the extreme rear tip on the outer edge and the front end formed like the bow of a ship.
