A snack to be eaten during travelling etc. and between meals comprises a filling which is surrounded by an outer layer of solid bread, contg. under 15% (10%) of moisture. The filling can be sweet (chocolate, nougat, marzipan, caramel, toffee) or savoury (yoghurt, cheese, tomato pulp, sausage meat). This provides a physiologically well balanced diet. It is clean to handle and does not deteriorate in hot climates like chocolate.
