The winter tyre has the tread divided into two distinct bands separated by a wide groove (3) running around the centre of the tyre. The two sets of tread pattern have wide blocks (7) separated by wide spaces for good grip in soft snow and mud. The tyre has two points of contact with the road. Excess snow and mud are rapidly cleared to either side of each tread pattern.
