An indicator is used to give warning of approach to the lower typing margin when the typewriter is being used. It consists of a marking made on the paper sheet on which the text is being typed. The marking extends along the left hand long edge of the sheet. The marking which is present on the typing paper is situated at a predetermined and pre-selected distance up from the lower edge of the paper, and is placed at a distance from the left hand long edge of the sheet. The marking may be in the form of a line, point or arrow.
