Self-lubricating radial vane pump - with vanes made from fibre reinforced polymeric materials or carbon and sliding in grooves lined with PTFE

Self-lubricating radial slide vane pump has the vanes made from self-lubricating materials which are reinforced with fibres and located in slide grooves of the rotor lined with synthetic plastics. Construction is used in compressors or partial vacuum pumps used in agriculture. Jamming and breaking of vanes is prevented. Pref. vanes are composed of a core of synthetic carbon or electrographite reinforced with glass or carbon fibres. Fibre reinforcement may be extending throughout the core or be confined to the sides only with the exception of the contact edge. Pref. the fibre extend in the radial direction of the vane. Fibres may be impregnated with an epoxy resin.
