An illuminated pointer device is used to produce an indicator arrow. The arrow may be projected onto the screen in use with a conventional projection system, is constructed such that the pointer device is powered directly from the projector in one itself. The pointer device can be mounted onto the projector body in such a way that tilting and pivoting of the pointer allows the entire projection screen to be within the indication range. A connector cable is provided to connect the pointer to the projector for power feed.
