Central heating boiler with diesel engine as energy generator - exhaust heat and radiator cooling medium are utilised to heat outer water tank

Central heating boiler consists of a double insulated water tank. The extended exhaust pipe from a diesel engine is led through the water between the two tanks before passing to atmos. The diesel engine is coupled to an electric generator which supplies the mains lighting and provides current for an immersion heater fitted to the inner tank. The engine cooling medium after reaching the optimal temp. is passed through the outer water tank, whose contents are used for the central heating system. The inner tank content is used for domestic hot water supply. The water tanks are heavily insulated against heat losses. Practically 100 per cent efficiency is gained from the fuel used in addition to reduced exhaust noise and emission.
