The strip connector is intended for electric installations and consists of two terminal clamps and an isolating slider inserted in parallel to the axis of the clamping screw for the terminal clamps. The isolating slider (7) and the two terminal clamps (3,4) are firmly located in an insulating housing (2). It is provided with a signal element indicating the closing position. The slider has an arrester for each of its two end positions, i.e. the opening and closing one respectively. Preferably the slider is covered on one side by a protrusion (20a) of the face wall of the insulating housing. A stop cam (9) may be formed on the housing and engages an elongated aperture with a narrowed down opening (10) in the slider.
