Refuse collector vehicle with bin lifting boom - has boom lifting ram at rear and tipping mechanism for emptying bins

The bulk material transport vehicle is particularly for refuse collection. It has a closed body with intakes at the rear and equipped with supports for the bins to be unloaded into it. A boom, pref. telescopic, is mounted on the body, transporting the bins to the intakes and tipping them into the container. A lifting ram (28) is mounted on the vehicle (11) body, derricking the boom (18) about a horizontal axis (17) in order to lift the bins or skips (15) to the intakes. The boom axis can be at or near the front end of the vehicle, and extends across it, while the derricking ram is at the rear end.
