The device for testing colour sensitivity responses in a patient under examination is one in which a beam of light containing a definite mixture of red and green component rays and a single beam of yellow light of variable intensity can be produced, is constructed such that light diodes (1,2) are provided to produce an equalised or equilibrated light beam and the red/green mixed light beam. The light output apertures in the ends of the diodes (1,2) have light guides (3,4) attached. The free ends of the light guides (3,4) form the visual field (5) of the subject under examination.
