The plastic profiled ledge closure for plastic bags is also used as a means of connecting tracks of cover material. One closure profile ledge fitted to the wall of one bag is shaped as a hook whilst the other is made as corresponding groove. The groove profile ledge is formed as a closed hollow profile (8) the stay sections of which (910) are splayed apart through the hook profile ledge (3,2) to permit its insertion. The hollow profile ledge may be weakened by recessing its material on one side.
