摘要
Rising damp in solid materials having porous or semi-porous structure is reduced or combatted by stopping or reducing in or on the solid material and in the region of the filtrating dampness, the formation of electrochemical elements, concentration elements, ventilating elements pH-value changers and/or local elements. All metallic structures incorporated in the masonry e.g. water pipes etc. are protected with plastic materials such as polyacetal resins, polyolefins, polyamides, polyphenyls or fluoro-carbon polymers. These may be applied from lacquers or sheets or any other convenient form, and may contain inorganic fillers, e.g. quartz powder or glass fibre-filled PTFE. Non-conducting resistant sealing cpds. ceramics and glass-like substances are also suitable insulating materials for unprotected metal structures.
