The automatic re-routing system, for radio telephone calls (linked to switched land-line network), is especially intended for hilly areas and towns and has--apart from the main radio transceivers--secondary radio transceivers. An unengaged radio receiver in each secondary transceiver scans all voice channels in its radio area and remains connected to that receive channel having a signal voltage greater than a given limit for as long as that signal exceeds the limit. A comparator at the main transceiver compares the signal strength from the receive channel at the main transceiver with the strength of the same channel at the secondary transceiver. The call is routed over the stronger path. The whole process is dynamic.
