Waste water clarification with longer lasting activated carbon - with unactivated carbon filter upstream of activated carbon filter

Process without obstruction of the activated carbon adsorption zone is performed by arranging an unactivated carbon filter bed upstream of an activated carbon filter bed. The unactivated carbon is pref. produced in degassing appts. within the clarifying plant from refuse, pref. wood waste, and the dirt-laden carbon is thermally treated in the same degassing appts., so as to produce carbom from the dirt as well.
