Low current fine wire twisted cables - have terminals formed out of cable material to reduce costs

The low current connecting cables are formed of twisted fine wires, i.e. Litz wires, and the manufacturing process is intended to eliminate the need for providing and attaching terminal ends. The ends of the cable are deformed under pressure and heat to the required shape and soldered to give a solid termination. In the mfg. process the cable ends may first be heated, then dipped in a solder bath, and finally pressed to the required shape after which the solder is allowed to set giving a solid terminal. This method permits the use of simpler production means and eliminates the cost of providing separate terminal ends.
