Anchor for mine channel support frame - has shaped iron claws with bottom end anchors and stays over frame at top end

The mine support channel frame strut employs spacer bolts which are secured to the frame by anchors or claws passed below the frame for this purpose. The claws (4) round the outsides of the frames (1, 2) are shaped iron members. The claws are pref. rectangular in section, though they can also be U section or tee section if preferred. The claw ends (6) at the base (5) of the frames are pierced by anchors or bolts (7) with threaded fastening nuts (9) as compared with the claw ends (10) for the frame flanges (11) which are joined by stays (12) which bridge the interposed frames.
