The sleeve bearing is for a horizontal shaft having a bearing shell, which is secured against turning, and positioned in the bearing housing via a spherical seat. The bearing shell (1) is fixed without free play at two points by locking pins (3), which pass through the bearing housing (2). The two pins are at an angle of 60 deg.-90 deg. to each other. The tip of each pin carries a removeable compensation piece (10) of soft material. The pins are fastened to the housing via a flange (6) and threaded screws (13), so that there is free play between the flange and its contact surface (16) on the housing.
