An axial bore with a small diameter leads into the cap from its inner end. Through the cap outer end passes a coaxial bore with a greater diameter with an annular shoulder, connecting to the small diameter bore. An integral, tubular insulator has a middle section of increased diameter and is inserted in the tubular cap in such manner that its middle section abuts the annular shoulder. A small diameter end section of the insulator protrudes into the small diameter cap end bore. In the outer end (54) of a counterbore (50) is releasably secured a closure element (20) and an electric terminal (56). These elements hold an electrode rod (18), loosely inserted into the counterbore, against the inner end of the latter, the terminal being in conductive contact with the electrode rod.
