The fixing device (1) is for sound-insulating fixture of plasterboard or similar panels onto a batten structure in wooden beam ceilings, or, in general, sheathing units or their auxiliary structures to other sheathing units or to the base structure. It consists of strip or panel-shaped material, with one side statically clamped and fastened either to one sheathing unit, or to the base structure (2), while the other side, on a flying mounting, serves for fixture of the other sheathing unit (4). This second side may comprise two levers fastened opposite ways. The fixture device may be in the form of a loop shackle, or a rail, with at least one side as an open hollow section. This has a highly resilient effect, promoting sound insulation and permitting the omission of an auxiliary batten structure, while being stable all round.
