Stripline mixer with two diode mixing circuits - has two antiparallel diodes in each circuit connected to short and open circuited quarter wave lines
Stripline mixer with two diode mixing circuits - has two antiparallel diodes in each circuit connected to short and open circuited quarter wave lines
The stripline mixer has a control signal to aid HF to IF conversion and IF to HF conversion. The control signal for the two mixing diode circuits is derived from a subharmonic of the mixer frequency and compensated by mixing the resulting signal with the reflected frequency. The two mixing diode circuits are symmetric wrt one another and have their control terminals connected together via 3 dB couplers or hybrid rings. Each mixing diode circuit consists of two antiparallel diodes connected at one end to a short circuited quarter wavelength line and at the other to an open quarter wavelength line.
