The flat shutter is for handling bulk material, the shutter plate being attached to a stirrup at right angles to the direction of movement. The stirrup ends are fixed to a pair of pull rods, guided by bottom rollers on the horizontal portions of rails fixed to the housing. The top rollers run in the shut position against the vertical guide rail sections. A lifting rod pivots on the upper roller spindle and forms an acute angle with the pull rod, while at its lower end it pivots on the spindle of the right-hand roller travelling on the guide rail, and in relation to the thrust rod.
