The automatic change over arrangement consists of a tool (16) on which at least one cutting tool with a shaft of one geometry, and at least a second cutting tool with a shaft of a different geometry are mounted. The store further carries at least one adapter with a shaft with a geometry which corresponds with that of the larger of the other two shafts. The shaft of the first or second cutting tool can be mounted in the adapter. The arrangement makes it possible to mount tools with large diameter and conical shaft, such as milling heads, and tools of small diameter such as reamers with cylindrical shaft, as close as possible to one another.
