The sintered bearing has a half spherical end, against which the spherical end of a shaft or a ball mounted at the end of a shaft bears. The cylindrical radial and spherical axial bearing are formed in one part. The half spherical end of the bearing is provided with spiral grooves, so that the bearing is hydrostatic. The density of the sintered material is increased over the area of the axial bearing. Slight misalignment of the shaft in the bearing, does not affect the axial bearing capacity.
