Miniature model racing car - has anti:skid device in form of rear mounted peg projecting into race track groove

This model racing car runs on an eight track model racing circuit. The vehicle is powered by an electric motor (7) connected to the rear wheels (5). The current for the motor is collected by brushes (12) which slide along electric rails in a groove in the track. The vehicle (1) is guided round the circuit by means of a guide plate (13) connected to the front wheels (3). This guide plate is guided by the groove in the track. To avoid skidding on corners, the vehicle is fitted with an anti-skid brake. This can be in the form of a wire rod (15) fitted to the rear of the vehicle. The rod has an end (18) which projects into the track groove. The depth of the end (18) in the groove can be adjusted by bending the wire. In other forms, the brake can be fixed to a leaf spring or fitted directly to the base of the vehicle.
