The device separates impurities such as turf, wood, mud etc from granular materials such as gravel, sand quartz etc. There is a water container with an angled feed or transport device dipping into it leaving a material feed pinned above the container. A feed or transport device in the form of an endless sieve band (1) of conveyor belt type, has arterial follower shovels (2). The flow nozzles (4) are attached to water feed bases (3) below the sieve strand (1) and produce flow at right angles to the feed direction (5). Material conduction or feed plates (7) are situated between the feed slide (6) and the water feed boxes (3).
