摘要
A device for detecting and measuring radioactive particles suspended in oil is utilised for measuring the wear of sliding components, e.g. in an internal combustion engine. The quantity of radioactive particles circulating in the oil is measured by a detector, and is counted and evaluated by an electronic system. The circuit is so arranged that the radioactive particle content both of a partial oil circuit flowing through the machine and also of the entire oil circuit passing through the filter can be measured. The arrangement enables large engines to be operated with an oil filter in the normal way, while at the same time the amt. of abrasion canbe radioactively measured and evaluated.
