The garden furniture consists of seats, chairs, benches etc., which are completely or partially made of weather-resistant material such as plastics, rubber or wood. They are designed to fold up. In the apex of the angle formed from the back rest and seat the frame is interrupted and the back rest can be folded down onto the seat through suitable hinges or a point of rotation. This can occur automatically when the user gets up from the seat through weights or special springs or through weighted arm rests which are attached to the back rest and are forwardly inclined.
