Electrode system for potentiometric analysis - has ion selective measurement and reference electrodes generating potential difference between half cells

An ion selective measurement electrode and a reference electrode are immersed in the tested solution. The electrodes consist of a vessel containing inner solution and a reference half-cell. The measurement electrode vessel has a selective sensor in its immersed part, and the reference electrode vessel has a flow valve. A potential difference is generated between the half-cells of the two electrodes which is evaluated for the analysis. The two electrodes are combined with an impedance transformer (23) into a compact unit. The half-cells (7, 14) are connected to the impedance transformer (23) in the shortest way possible. The impedance transformer output is the output of the unit.
