The wall or ceiling element for prefabricated house construction is lightweight, weatherproof, and durable. It is made of fibreglass-reinforced concrete with a cast-in insulating layer. Thin walled fibreglass concrete layers are connected by cross arm stems of the same material, which may have laterally protruding fibreglass weave strips. The insulating layer can be a continuous one made up from foamed plastic panels with a fibreglass concrete coating. Where the elements are used in external walling, this layer can project at top and bottom.
