Device for maintenance of a predetermined oil level in a lubrication system has a chamber (20) connected to a lubrication point (10) by means of a lower outlet support and a pipe (3). In the chamber (20), an upper inlet valve (4) and a float (40) operating the valve (4) are provided to adjust the oil inflow into the chamber (20) via the inflow valve (4). A vertical adjustable inlet tube (21) is fitted in a cover (6) of the chamber (20), a valve needle (4) and seat being arranged in the tube, and at whose lower end the float (40) for operation of the valve needle (4) is located.
