This device for fixing handles to enamel pans has a circular stainless steel strap (3) with a diameter greater than that of the pan. Part of the strap is curved outwards to form a projection (4) inside which is fixed a nut (8) for attaching the grip (7). To fit the device to a pan the strap (3) is slid from the base up one outside wall of the pan until it sits in a recessed ring around the pan. The handle (7) is placed against the strap (3) astride the projection (4) so that a screw can be passed through the base of the handle and secured to the strap by the nut. The nut is drawn up into the space (10) at the base of the grip (7) fitting the grip in place, and at the same time tightening the strap round the wall of the pan. This device enables one or two grips diametrically opposite each othre to be fitted easily to a pan.
