Mobile radar target tracking enhancement system - has coordinate plot of shadow zones for display on monitor screen

The target-tracking enhancement system for mobile radars, is esp. suitable for detecting the tracks of low-flying aircraft which are normally lost when these pass through the 'shadow zones' caused by topographical obstructions. A topographical display is line-scanned and digitised and the fixed-target data is stored. The information can be fed to a computer together with coordinate and height data pertaining to the radar equipment site, entered via a control panel. The radar shadow zones related to predetermined contour heights of the fixed obstruction, can be displayed on the PPI screen and additionally on a recorder. The hard copy display is used to optimise the radar scanner site.
