A device to aid rapid reading and interpretation of a cardiogram, has a number of indicator devices (11) for arrangement against the cardiogram, with a system for shifting them so as to vary the interval between them, while keeping this the same between each pair. Typically the devices can consist of a series of needles (11) all protruding from the same side of a supporting guide, in which they travel under the action of a slide (3) coupled to them by a lazy tongs mechanism (13-17).
