Glass ceramics contg. mica which can be shaped on usual metal-working machines, contain a R2O (Na2O and/or K2O)-MgO-FeO-Al2O3-SiO2-F glass system improved in that the Al2O3 content is 5-20 wt.% and FeO 0.5-5 wt.% and the glass system contains also 1-10 wt.% Cr2O3 and 5-15 wt.% Fe2O3, with the proviso that Cr2O3 + FE2O3 = 5-20 wt.%, and Fe2O3 + Al2O3 = 15-30 wt.%.
